The Ticknall Trail Relay is being held for the first time in 2017. Each team will run 4 legs of approximately 2 miles around a scenic route using bridleways, permissive paths and private woodland, starting and finishing at the Ticknall 'Market Place'. The route will be marked and have marshals at key points.

The race is open to teams from any UK Athletics Affiliated Running Club, which can be all male, all female or mixed (minimum of 2 ladies). The minimum age for athletes is 12.

Team relays are renowned for creating a great atmosphere and being lots of fun for runners of all levels, so we are delighted to bring you this exciting new event.

The overall number of teams is limited so please register early. Entries on the day only accepted if places remain available.

On the day

On the day final registration and race number collection will take place at Ticknall Village Hall between 6:15 and 6:45pm.  Please try and arrive in plenty of time.  Refreshments will be available before and after the race.

The race will start at 7pm sharp from the old Market Place, which is 200 metres away at the far end of Chapel Street.

Car parking is available at the Village Hall and there is some on street parking within the village, although space is limited.  Please park sensibly and car share where possible. DO NOT park on Chapel Street.

If parking at the village hall, we encourage you to make a small donation (e.g. £1) in the wall slot, which goes towards maintenance of an asset which is used frequently by many local runners.

Please respect the area, do not drop any litter and be respectful to local residents.

Toilets are available both outside and inside the village hall. Please do not use adjacent fields and hedges.

Whilst warming up / cooling down please stick to public areas and rights of way.

The award ceremony will take place at the village hall as soon as possible after all teams have finished.
