About the event
Join Matt on a truly captivating journey through the heart of the Peak District National Park. Starting from the shores of the stunning Ladybower Reservoir, you'll immediately be greeted by the rugged beauty of the surrounding landscape. The trail winds its way up through rolling hills, past ancient stone walls, and across babbling streams, offering breath-taking views at every turn.
As you hike towards Alport Castles, the largest landslide in the UK, you’ll be greeted by the amazing tower formations that give Alport Castles its name. As an optional challenge Matt will guide you to the top of the main tower for amazing views up and down the Alport Dale (this is a short accessible scramble), so why not come and join us on another memorable day with Mountain Bear.
Distance: Approximately 11 miles. We estimate that this hike will take us around 6 hours.Â
Please note - NOT dog friendly: Due to the terrain and optional scramble, we do not reccomend bringing dogs on this Wayfarer.
