Meeting at 8:30am ready for a prompt 8:45am start, we'll cover approximately 8 miles. This short and sweet route packs a lot in, from rolling country-side fields, to steeper lung-busting climbs, fantastic view-points and interesting historical features along the way. And for those of you who are partial to trig-bagging, you'll be glad to know that you can expect one on this route!

Pace: The plan is to be in one "steady running" group, walking the climbs and with plenty of breaks to snap photos and enjoy the views and company. 

Distance: 8 miles with 1,200ft of elevation.

Kit requirements 

• Off-road / trail running trainers
• Clothes suitable for the weather, plus additional layer for emergencies
• Sufficient food / fluids for a morning on the trails 
• Cash / card for emergencies (ie transport back to the start)
• Pack / bag to carry items not being worn
