The ever popular Starlight Trails Relays are back for the 2023-24 series.

Event #1 Thursday 9th November, 7pm @ Markeaton Park 

Event #2 Thursday 7th December, 7pm @ Shipley Park

They are an exciting series of off-road relay races, with a twist. They will be in the dark, with runners using head-torches to illuminate their way on the trails.

​

At each event teams will run 4 legs of 2 'country' miles but the courses will vary in difficulty.

​

The routes will be entirely off-road and use a variety of terrain, including hard-packed paths, woodland trails and grass. They will be well marked and have marshals at key points.

Team relays are renowned for creating a great atmosphere and being lots of fun for runners of all levels. So, with the added exhilaration of running at night, these races promise to be really exciting.

The overall number of teams in each event will be limited, so please register early to guarantee your place. There will be no entries on the day.

PLEASE NOTE: 

- Details of individual team members not required at time of entry. A 'Team Declaration' form will be sent out to team captains a week prior to the event.

- Please ensure that you choose the correct "ticket" with regards to the number of unaffiliated / affiliated runners in your team. Affiliation can be to UKA/EA Athletics or a Trail Running Association Member.
