Join Matt Cooke (aka Mountain Bear!) for the second of the "Little Big Hikes" kicking things off from Grindleford, Peak District.

Expect to cover around 10-miles in 5 to 6 hours, with plenty of spectacular scenery and views to enjoy along the way. As well as getting a fantastic day out exploring, Little Big Hikes are a great opportunity to learn from Matt, who is a highly experienced Mountain Leader. So whether you’re looking for a lovely day out in the safe hands of someone who lives and breathes the outdoors or you'd like to gain experience and knowledge for your own big mountain adventures in the future, we think you'll love Little Big Hikes. 

Arriving by public transport? We have selected the start locations & times for our Little Big Hikes to make it easy for people to arrive by public transport; great news if you'll be catching a bus or getting the train from Derby or Sheffield!

Kit requirements - Please note that you'll need to bring the below with you in order to take part in this event; 

• Walking boots or off-road running shoes
• Clothes suitable for the weather conditions, plus additional warm layer for emergencies
• Waterproof jacket, with hood and taped seams
• Waterproof trousers
• Hat and gloves
• Sufficient food and drinks for a full day in the hills
• Small backpack or bum-bag to carry items not being worn
