We'll meet near Chatsworth from 18:45 ready for a prompt 19:00 start. Exact meeting location will be included in your confirmation email. 

This course is aimed at people who have learnt or have knowledge of the basics of navigating in the dark and poor weather conditons and would like to take their skills to the next level. 

During the evening we'll be learning more advanced and detailed navigation techniques to help you  progress onto higher and more technical ground with your new skills. This will include learning more advanced map and compass skills, how to navigate using detailed features around you, further strategies for coping when caught in bad weather, and other skills such as timing, pacing and walking on bearings. This will be a fun and engaging evening rounded up by a debrief in the pub - we hope to see you there!

• Hiking Boots / trail shoes
• Gaiters (Optional)
• Walking trousers / leggings
• Waterproof Trousers
• Warm Layer
• Waterproof Jacket
• Hat
• Gloves
• Headtorch / chest-torch / hand-held torch (essential - it will be dark!) 
• Rucksack / Running vest (for carrying items not being worn)
• Walking/Running Poles (if required) 
• Snacks / drink
• Compass (if owned)
• Map (will be provided by Matt)
