A range of other activities throughout the weekend, including workshops and talks, relating to running & lifestyle
Fully catered accommodation at the wonderful Dukes Barn in the historic village of Beeley
(Run only and non-residential options are also available for those that don't require accommodation.)
Kicking off on Friday evening, you'll have the option to take part in Peak Running's 5-mile Hob Hurst's Fell Race, or to run the route with a guide.
On Saturday and Sunday there will be two guided runs of around 14 miles (23km) and 10 miles (16km), enjoying the splendid scenery and dramatic landscapes of the Peaks, including open moorland, forest trails and country estates.
All of the runs will start and finish at our base in Beeley. They will be lead by our team of experienced trail and fell runners, so you do not require navigational skills, and you don't need to be a fast runner to keep up. We will split into smaller groups as necessary, with each group going at a pace that everyone can comfortably cope with.
Our base for the weekend will be the Dukes Barn in the historic village of Beeley, North Derbyshire. Dukes is an exceptionally well equipped outdoor centre, with a large games room, cinema and outdoor activity areas. The location of the barn means that there are fantastic views of the surrounding hills.
The sleeping arrangements at Dukes Barn will be cosy, rustic dormitories. Of course, if you'd prefer to stay elsewhere or are living close by, you can choose the "run-only" option when booking.
The whole weekend will be fully catered and all food will be prepared on site from high quality and - where possible - locally sourced produce. Dietary requirements can be catered for.
Alongside the guided runs and Hob Hurst's Fell Race, we like to ensure that there is some spare time where you can relax, soak up the atmosphere and socialise with the likeminded people sharing the weekender.
Of course, we know that runners' tend be a high energy bunch and so every year we plan in some interesting activities for you to enjoy too. In previous years this has included talks by inspiring people from the running community, film shows and discussions about topics such as nutrition, navigation and flexibility.
Once the schedule of events has been finalised - we want it to be perfect! - we'll add the timetable below.
